Partners in Funding
This committee is a group of farmers, growers, and trade representatives who serve to ensure IR-4 direction and research activities continue to benefit Specialty Crop producers.
This collection of domestic and international government agencies collaborate with IR-4 in establishing research priorities, funding research, conducting joint research projects, and/or receiving IR-4 reports and submission documents to make regulatory decisions.
Collectively the crop protection industry supplies various tools to manage pathogens, pests, and weeds of Specialty Crops, as well as managing the growth of these crops. Historically, the crop protection industry focuses efforts on developing products for large row crop agriculture. IR-4 helps to fill the gap for specialty crop producers including food (fruits, vegetables, nuts) and environmental horticulture (trees, shrubs, flowers). The crop protection industry provide biopesticide and conventional active ingredients for testing.
