Note: this is one segment of a Week of Workshops 9/23 to 9/26 covering EnvironHort, Food Tolerance, and Food Integrated Solutions.

Workshop Description

On Monday, Sept 23 at 1:00 pm the workshop begins with a General Session, followed by brief industry presentations about their pest management technologies for food crops.

On Tuesday Sept 24, the traditional Food Use Workshop will start promptly at 8:00 am. We will take a break after lunch for a 45 minute session with representatives of EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs leading an informal discussion on relevant topics. The Food Use priority setting would then continue to its completion by about 5:00 pm.

On Wednesday Sept 25, a half day priority setting session for Integrated Solutions (IS) will occur in the morning, and IR-4 Strategic Planning in the afternoon. Starting at 8:00 am, IR-4 will be establishing priorities for our newest initiative, IS, that considers modern chemical pesticides and/or bio-based pesticides individually or in combination to address pest management voids in food crops. IS focus also addresses chemical pesticide residue mitigation, pest resistance management and facilitation of solutions for organic cropping systems.
