V-10142 Crop Safety – 2010

From 2006 to 2009, IR-4 conducted 293 trials with V-10142 0.5G and V-10142 75WDG (imazasulfuron) on more than 60 crops. This research was undertaken to determine the level of crop safety these formulations have when used as over-the-top applications. The imazasulfuron rates were 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 pounds active ingredient per acre (lb ai per A) as the 1X, 2X and 4X rates. Of the tested crop and formulations, only 14 exhibited no or minimal transient injury after application at all three rates. Twelve species for V-10142 0.5G and 19 for V-10142 75WDG exhibited phytotoxicity at even the 0.5 lb ai per acre rate.
