2026 Industry Technology Session

About the Event

The 2026 Industry Technology Session (ITS) will be held virtually (via Zoom) on Thursday, February 19. We anticipate a schedule of 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, but exact timing is subject to change. This annual event invites companies to introduce their novel pest control technologies, present updates on products already in IR-4 research, or share news about previously presented technologies or already known products.

The Industry Technology Session is a precursor to the 2026 Food Use Workshop (details on this priority-setting meeting are coming soon to the Events & Training page). Technologies discussed during this year’s ITS may be eligible for IR-4 research in 2027. Find the presentations from the 2025 Industry Technology Session here.

We will continue to add information and resources to this page (such as the agenda) as our team finalizes the details. We hope you’ll join us in February!

Registration

Registration is free but required for this event. To register as an attendee, use the button below to fill out the registration form. After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link.

Note: if you are a presenter for this event, your presenter form (linked below) also counts as your event registration.

Call for Presenters

If your company would like to present, please complete THIS REQUIRED FORM by the close of business on Friday, January 30. Completion of this form will also serve as the presenter’s registration for the session. Potential topics and time allocations for presentations are as follows:

  • New pest control technologies: Presenters may introduce new technologies that are relevant to most IR-4 stakeholders and are not part of ongoing IR-4 research. Limit to 8 minutes per presentation.
  • Update on products already in IR-4 research: This may include updates on research trial outcomes or registration progress. Limit to 8 minutes per company.
  • Industry news: Presenters may share news that may be useful to stakeholders regarding products that aren’t currently in IR-4 research; these may include updates on previously presented technologies or already known products. Limit to 8 minutes per presentation.

Companies will have a maximum of 16 minutes to present. All presentations must be pre-recorded using PowerPoint. If you are new to creating narrated PowerPoints, you may find this tutorial useful:

Please send your pre-recorded presentations to ir-4_project@ncsu.edu by the close of business on Wednesday, February 11. We will provide further information to confirmed presenters via email as the event approaches.
